city of huntington banner competition

During my time at Marshall University, I designed a vinyl banner for the City of Huntington Banner competition in the winter of 2017. I was inspired by the historic West Virginia Building in Huntington, WV to recreate it in a new way.

The 34x81" vinyl banner was created in Illustrator as I sketched over a photograph of the building from an abstract view. The competition wanted all submissions to use the primary colors used in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) and hues that could go be used with these colors.

The vinyl banner that I created of the West Virginia Building has been going up in downtown Huntington with other designer commissions apart of the series since Spring 2017.
